Hacettepe University - Software and Big Data Office

The Software and Big Data Office is responsible for preparing the digital transformation roadmap of Hacettepe University and encouraging the development and implementation of projects planned in this direction, while following current technologies and best practices in the field of digital transformation and data management. Another main area of activity of our office is to ensure that the digital transformation, informatics and data management processes carried out throughout the University are planned, implemented and managed in an effective, secure and sustainable manner in cooperation with the Department of Information Technologies and in coordination with the relevant units.

Tasks of the Software and Big Data Office

To determine the strategic roadmap for the university's corporate information systems and digital transformation processes in coordination with the Department of Information Technology.
To encourage the use of current technologies in the university's software, data management and big data processes and to suggest applicable solutions.
To develop pilot applications, carry out projects or provide support for existing projects in the field of artificial intelligence and big data analytics.
To develop improvement suggestions on data security, privacy and sustainable digital infrastructure and to cooperate with relevant units.
To encourage a culture of digital innovation and to monitor and report on digital transformation projects within the university.
